REGISTRATION UPDATE- Online registration closes at 11PM Wednesday night March 7th and there WILL NOT be registration available the day of the event.
Join us for our 2nd annual Malibu Daytime and Moonlight Madness trail runs hosted by SportMulti (vitamin and mineral supplement for athletes) and Cyril Jay-Rayon, captain of the DART-nuun adventure team (www.dartadventure.com). The event will also be supported by our other generous partners-
- nuun (electrolyte enhanced drink tabs),
- Feed the Machine (endurance sports nutrition store),
- Hydrapak (Hydration systems)
- sporteve (womens active wear store) where packet pickup will take place.
Packet pickup will be available the day of the events at the start/finish as well as on Friday, March 9th, from 1PM-7PM at sporteve.
All participants will receive shirts and medals!
10Km (day & Night)
Run participants along the Ultra course to the t
rail intersection along the Serrano Cyn Trail at 650' (3.2 miles from the start). This alternate route would be an out and back and only climb 650'.
Half Marathon (day & Night)
Same 4.6 miles as the Ultra to the Old Boney Trail intersection. From there, runners turn left on Old Boney to Big Sycamore Cyn Trail (main dirt road through the canyon). They run south along Big Sycamore Cyn Trail to the Backbone right turn up to Overlook Trail. Then, runners run down Overlook Trail to Scenic Trail and down Scenic Trail.
You have the option of running the daytime event, distance of your choice, starting at 8AM, the Moonlight distance of your choice, starting at 6PM, OR, you can be a trail champion and run BOTH of them! We will have something special for those of you who run both events, including a very nice lunch if you choose to hang out with us at the start/finish basecamp for the afternoon. If you sign up for both you can change to whatever distances you feel like the day of the event.
The daytime event, for all distances, starts at 8AM, the moonlight event, for all distances, starts at 6PM.
Light and Motion makes some of the best lights for athletes and they will have a limited number of lights for demo. Contact us if you want to reserve one!
